Shoppers can surprise hunters with an extra-special gift without spending more than $100. Bowhunting accessories, clothing, optics, and more are affordably priced.

Selecting gifts for hunters can be a daunting task. Much hunting equipment is expensive, and shoppers can become discouraged by the high prices. However, great values are available in arrow rests, bow sights, camouflage clothing and vehicle trim, trail cameras, optics, and hunting glasses.

Reasonably Priced Fall Away Arrow Rests

The fall away arrow rest is popular with bowhunters because the arrow has less contact with the rest after release. The Alpine WhisperFlite Fall Away is only $44.99 at Bass Pro Shops. Cabela’s has a QAD Ultra-Rest Pro Lock Down Fall Away Arrow Rest for $99.99. Keith Dunlap published a thorough review after field testing the Sims LimbSaver Fall Away Arrow Rest, $89.99. Dunlap writes, “I really like the LimbSaver Fall Away Arrow Rest. It performs as advertised . . . simple to use and install and set up, smooth, quiet, accurate . . . all of the attributes you want in an arrow rest.”

Hunters Need Bow Sights for Greater Accuracy

The Black Gold Radiant Bow Sight, which performs well in low light conditions, is $84.99 at Bass Pro Shops. Sportsman’s Guide offers the 3 oz. Carolina FoxFire SP for just $44.97. Cabela’s has a couple of good sights under $100. The Apex Gear Atomic Series Four-Pin Sight and the Apex Inferno Series Five-Pin Sight are both $79.99.

Hunters Blend in with Camoflage Jackets and Vehicle Trim

Predator’s brushed cotton twill Bowhunter Jacket is $52.50 in sizes from men’s small to 3 X-large. This jacket is available in Spring Green, Fall Gray, Green Deception, Brown Deception, and Evoluton patterns. The Heavyweight Fleece with Wind Barrier Jacket comes in sizes medium to extra-large, in Brown Deception and Green Deception, and sells for $89.95. Carhartt offers a thermal lined Active Jac in Realtree Hardwood pattern for $90.00, $95.00 for big and tall sizes. For women, Redhead has a Silent-Hide All Seasons Insulated Jacket. This jacket with zip-out liner costs $69.95 at Bass Pro Shops, and comes in Realtree AP HD and Mossy Oak New Break-Up patterns and women’s sizes from small to extra-large.

Camoflage vehicle trim protects against scuffs and scratches from brush and looks good, too. While full-vehicle treatments cost much more than $100, trim kits can be purchased for less. Camoskinz’ Fender Flair Kit has 16 square feet of material to custom fit a truck’s wheel wells for $76.00. Camoflage Window Film for the rear window is $83.00 from Deep Creek Camo.

Shoppers Can Find an Affordably Priced Trail Camera

Although trail cameras can be costly, the Moultrie Game Spy D-40 Game Camera is only $84.99 at Native Outdoors. This camera has 16 MB of built-in memory and takes color day and night pictures. At that price, the shopper can afford to add a stand or additional memory card.

Binoculars, Shooting Glasses for Less

High-quality binoculars are another item that is usually priced in excess of $100. However, the Nikon Sportstar binoculars, with 10 X 25 power, are $69.99 at Cabela’s. The Cabela’s catalog also features a pair of Extreme Hunter’s Shooting Glasses for $69.99, as well as a pair of Bolle’ Shooting Glasses for $99.99. The Bolle’ glasses have stylish, wrap-around protection, and the lenses meet military ballistics tests.

This List Makes Gift-Giving for Hunters Easy

Spending $100 or less on a great hunting gift is not as difficult as one might think. Finding a present for that special hunter is a much easier task when shoppers begin with this list of affordably-priced gear.
