It isn't necessary to spend a lot of money when shopping for hunting gifts. This selection of low-cost gifts provides plenty of choices that hunters will love.

What can a gift-giver find that will put a smile on the face of that special hunter without breaking the budget? Tom King, of the television program, Bighorn Outdoors, has plenty of ideas, and a little research reveals even more.

Hunters Use Topographic Maps

Topographic maps are available from Mapping the Outdoors for as little at $19.99 for a 13” X 9” regular map. Custom maps are also available for a higher price.

Entertainment Selections for Hunters

Archery Game Cubes allow hunters to practice archery skills by shooting at game stickers. The stickers are $2.29 each. An Archery Game Mat System, which goes over the backstop, is $15.99 for a 48” X 72” mat.

DVDs featuring live-action hunts are great choices. Bighorn Outdoors offers a selection of these at $10.00 and $12.99. Music CDs for those pre-dawn truck rides are another inexpensive idea. Bighorn Outdoors “Songs of the Bighorn” is also $12.99.

Decals, Caps, and T-Shirts

Truck decals are a low-priced gift. LVE Hunting Decals has a selection of decals for $5.00 and $6.00. A Bighorn Outdoors truck decal is $15.00, and if Tom spots a vehicle with one of his decals, the owner wins a free Team Bighorn cap. Decals are also available for $2.00 with any Bighorn Outdoors order.

Most outfitters carry a selection of T-shirts and caps adorned with hunting-themed graphics.

Shooting Sticks

Gander Mountain sells a couple of inexpensive shooting sticks for increased control during shooting. The Gander Mountain 38” Monopod is $19.99, and the Eastman Outfitters 37” Shooting Stick is $14.99.

Hunting Calls

A selection of hunting calls by Primos can be found at Bighorn Outdoors. The Bleat & Bawl is $9.99, the Hardwood Fawn Bleat is $11.99, and the Power Buck & Doe is $17.99. Can calls, e-CAN and e-ROAR are each $13.99. A Mastering the Art Deer Pak which includes information on using calls successfully is $16.99. The Big Bucks Bag Rattling System is $14.99.

Cabela’s has a number of predator calls for less than $20.00. Randy Anderson’s Lil’ Dog is $19.99, and his Ki-Yi is $14.99. A Howler Pak is $17.99, and the Catnip, described as “The best call for bobcats,” is just $9.99.

More Hunting Accessories

Liquid Game Bag for protecting exposed meat is just $8.00 for 12 oz. at Bighorn Outdoors, and Liquid Game Bag Blind Spray, to keep pesky rodents from nibbling at blinds, is only $6.00.

Lumenock lighted arrow nocks are $9.95 each. According to Lumenock, they “will work with any aluminum or carbon arrows that use standard ICS components.”

Cabela’s sells a Game Cleaning Kit by Hunter’s Specialties for $19.99 and a box of 25 powder-free, natural latex, Sure Safe Field Dressing Gloves for $14.99.
